People are often overwhelmed as they navigate and negotiate the health care they need. And while there are many helpful organizations with services to help (see Links above), patients and families struggle with:

  1. 1Multiple health issues, both physical and mental.

  2. 2Coordinating home care and hospital care under complex conditions.

  3. 3Making decisions in a crisis.

  4. 4Language and cultural barriers.

  5. 5Knowing what options are open to them.

  6. 6Finding the care they want.

Our goal is to help people navigate this complex healthcare systems to get the excellent care that is already available.

We will help people to:

Navigate complex health care systems

Negotiate the best care possible

Mediate problems if they arise

Reduce the stress to health care systems by helping people use them more effectively.

This website is under development
In the interim we will provide some initial resources that may be helpful to patients, families, caregivers, professional and volunteer care providers.

We do not provide one-to-one phone or email advice.
We will provide resources, training resources and training programs to help individual patients, families and caregivers later in 2013.

In the meantime, although navCare does not provide direct support, one of our member organizations, Habitat, does provide email education, monitoring and counselling.
